News release: East-end man charged with child pornography offences
FINTRAC’s financial intelligence was recognized by the Ottawa Police in a joint child exploitation investigation with Homeland Security Investigations and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police National Child Exploitation Crime Centre that began in 2022. As a result of the investigation, one individual has been charged with making child pornography, making written child pornography, unlawfully possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography, sexual interference, and telecommunication agreement to commit specific criminal offence with another under 18 years of age.
