FINTRAC’s financial intelligence was recognized in an investigation by the Joint Serious Offences Team, comprised of the Alberta Securities Commission and the Alberta RCMP Federal Policing Integrated Market Enforcement Team. As a result of the investigation, one individual has been criminally charged with four counts of fraud over $5,000 and one count of laundering the proceeds of crime.
