News release: One Charged in Human Trafficking Investigation
FINTRAC’s financial intelligence was recognized by the Regina Police Service in relation to Project Anchor, a multi-agency human trafficking investigation. The investigation began in December of 2025 when Regina Police Service investigators received information about a female victim being trafficked in the sex trade throughout western Canada, including in Regina. As a result of this investigation, one individual has been charged with human trafficking-related offences.
