FINTRAC’s financial intelligence was recognized by the Sûreté du Québec in a major drug trafficking investigation. Police officers seized more than 730 kg of lidocaine, approximately 200 grams of cannabis, more than $215,000 in Canadian cash, and luxury jewelry and watches valued at $200,000. In addition to the items seized, police officers froze eight properties as proceeds of crime and assets derived from criminal activity, valued at more than $6 million.
